2 years after the a great party at the Oskar Club in Singen (Germany), Groovenite.com returns this Saturday with Andy Ward for another fabulous night!

We are still celebrating 10 years of Groovenite.com and are happy to announce another event with our friend DJ Andy Ward (UK). He was our special guest of the 10 years anniversary party this February. Now we invite him for another celebration party. This time it will take place at the Oskar Club in Singen (Germany). Well, that’s only half of the truth. Actually it’s also the birthday party of DJ Pedro Fernandez. He’s resident DJ at Oskar Club and also a very good friend of the whole Groovenite.com crew. He already celebrated his birthday with us exactly 2 years ago. As the party turned out to be one of the best house parties at this spot (check here the video from the last party), he invited Groovenite.com and Andy Ward back for his b-day. And that offer just can’t be turned down.

This will also be our special warm up party for the VOCAL BOOTH WEEKENDER 2010 in Spain!

So we hope to see all our German readers next Saturday at the Oskar Club in Singen. Come and say ‘hi’ at the DJ Booth!

From “Club Q” to “Q Zurich”; everything’s new at one of Switzerland’s most outstandig nightlife clubs. Apart from the new team (DJ Le Noir, Fridolin Hauser, Robin Donat, Daniele Pelletieri and René Goetz), Q Zurich has also new furniture, new lights and a new programmation. From the underground club to “the sunny side of clubbing”, you will find events and concerts for every music lovers. Q Zurich will still be a place for respected international DJs though, such as Armand van Helden, which is invited to play at the opening weekend this Saturday.

Special guest this Saturday is Wez Clarke. Wez is moving into his fifth year with Hed Kandi as both a DJ and Producer. With countless releases and remixes on the Hed Kandi label already under his belt, Wez shows no signs of slowing down, with a string of forthcoming projects including work on the new Booty Luv album. Wez is also responsible for lovingly mixing and mastering the Hed Kandi compilations at his London studios. You can also catch him DJing across the globe each weekend at the world famous Hed Kandi club nights.

Wez’s background is mainly focused on his exceptional production work. The late nineties saw Wez’s career take off, with his first single; Headhuntaz “Rip The Freestyle”, go on to become an all time classic in the speed garage world.

As the house sound quickly evolved so too did Wez’s style and he quickly found himself playing and producing electronic house. Producing under his monikor of Squint, he had huge success with singles ‘What Can I Do?’ and ‘What Is Electro?’, which both gained huge support from a broad range of DJs including Seb Fontaine, Timo Maas, James Zabiela, Zane Lowe, DJ Chloe, Plump DJs, Hybrid, Touche, Lucien Foort, Anne Savage, etc. ‘What Can I Do?’ was on the daytime playlist of BBC Radio 1 for over a month and gained Wez a huge amount of exposure as an artist that led to remix work for other high profile artists such as Annie Lennox and Moloko.

More recently Wez has remixed tracks for the likes of Solu Music, Nate James, Raul Rincon, Switch, Shiny Grey, Mason and DONS. He was also one half of the duo behind the massive “Wilder & Clarke EP” on Hed Kandi Records which contained the singles “Stand Up” (featuring Katherine Ellis on vocals) and the classic Wilder & Clarke Remix of Shiny Grey’s “Why”.

Thursday evening – the pre party for anyone wishing to make the most of the weekend. Andy Ward goes live on the internet across the world in front of the few already arrived and settled into the hotel, followed by a selection of carefully chosen DJs who show their support religiously in the chat room.

Friday – As ‘The Family’ start to arrive & check in, DJs will spend the day spinning sun-soaked grooves poolside and catching up with friends they talk to every week inside the chat room. As the sun sets, take the 30 second walk to the neighbouring night club and get the party started, rocking to the early hours of the morning with international DJs and clubbers alike.

Saturday afternoon and the action switches to a luxurious outdoor venue for the Triple S Session, something you would expect anywhere from Miami to Marbella, only without the pretentiousness and with more of the world’s finest DJ talent. Relax on the plush poolside furniture and dine on the finest local cuisines under the blazing September sun. Again, on the evening the action moves to the club for more of the wonderful music The Booth is known and loved for.

Sunday afternoon, many leave for the airport while the few who know what to expect remain. More poolside action while people chill and prepare themselves for the after party.. the infamous Sunday Lockdown, the true sound of the Underground. There isn’t a dry eye in the house as the curtains close on another weekend that people will be talking about the world over for weeks to come.

ACCOMMODATION
THE HOTEL
A typically Spanish hotel, yards from the golden beaches of the Mediterranean, is the setting for this year’s fun. We have found the perfect spot enabling us to do what we want, when we want, as loud as we want.. the entire complex to ourselves.

PRICES
Rooms cannot be booked before April 3rd. We will announce full hotel details then. Prices from €64 euro per room, per night (not per person).
You will have the choice of the main hotel you see on the video, this is highly recommended. There will also be a cheaper alternative of a self catering apartment with two seperate bedrooms and a living area, with kitchen and seperate bathroom. This will sleep up to 5 people. These apartments are in blocks around a large swimming pool, in essence an apart-hotel, HOWEVER it will be a 15 minute walk to the main hotel and club.

VILLAS & APARTMENTS
If you are interested in coming for longer than the weekend or there is a large group of you, we recommend you rent a villa or apartment. These can be as cheap as €300 per week and sleep up to 6 people.
Full information on our exclusive agent handling rentals will be released in April.

Flights from the UK and Europe into MURCIA or ALICANTE with the following companies:

We strongly recommend flying into MURCIA airport, cost in a private taxi – €40, ALICANTE airport will cost €70 in a taxi.
Please consider these extra costs when looking at your flight savings into Alicante (the larger airport and generally slightly cheaper).
We will have a transfer company co-ordinating pick ups, enabling groups on the same flight to save money getting to and from the venue (can be as cheap as €10 per head each way).

HOTELS
Petrcane is well stocked with accommodation. Check Hotel Pinija if your after a three star hotel vibe with indoor pool, etc. There’s a huge stock of apartments and villas that can be booked for the week or weekend as well as cheaper hotels for as little as 10 Euros a night. The village also has camping facilities for up to 160 tents so the choice is yours. If you would like further information about staying at Hotel Pinija then please visit General Turist or email info@terratravel.hr as they will have a limited rooming availability. For accommodation enquiries INSIDE the village, please email Gail: gail@thegardenzadar.com For accommodation enquiries OUTSIDE the village, General Turist is the official accommodation engine for the area.

CAMPING
There is a small campsite very close to the festival which can hold around 100-120 “plots” (ie. Small – medium tent).The price is 25 kuna’s per day which works out at around £3 a day. Bargain! Please check out Camp Pineta or email Gail (as Above) for a larger campsite, They do get booked up quite quickly though! If you are looking on the internet for accommodation then the villages of PETRCANE or PUNTA SKALA are best for walking to the festival site.

The VIP-apéro was a big success. Loads of people arrived pretty early, so everybody could have a nice chat before the party which started at 10pm. Jack & The Jerk from Satisfied Music started the night with some very nice funky tracks, untill Maik Pedersen & Miles Numan took over. Andy Ward delivered a very rocking set playing some classics and some upfront promos that we haven’t heard before. And thanks to our Groovenite.com Tina, Andy played “The Shaman (a Grant Nelson production)” by Hangman which ROCKED THE PLACE! For the last our, Maik & Miles took over again to end the night with some classics like “Finally”, “Soul Heaven” and “Days Like This”. The dancefloor was packed untill 4am. A really great night!

Thanks to everybody who celebrated with us 10 fantastic years of Groovenite.com. We hope it won’t last another 10 years to see you all again!

We also say a BIIIIG thank you to Andy Ward, who stayed half a week in Switzerland for us! And despite major delays at the airport, no kebap after 12pm, etc. he seemed to have much fun anyway.
